I love Target.

Target is having some fantastic deals right now! They have just marked down lots of artwork, picture frames, lampshades, blankets and more. Whenever I go in Target (which is usually at least once a week), I use these tips to get the best deals;

{ 1 } Always check the end-caps. Target puts all of their clearance around the perimeter of the store.

{ 2 } Don’t pay any attention to the percentage listed on the clearance sign. It might say 15%, but the items could be marked down as much as 50%. When in doubt, use the price checkers located around the store.

{ 3 } Sign-up for Target’s mobile coupons if you have a smart-phone. Just the other day I got a shirt at Target for free. The shirt was on clearance for $2.00 and I had a $2.00 off any shirt mobile coupon. What’s better than free merchandise??

{ 4 } If you don’t have a smart-phone, don’t fret. Simply check Target.com for coupons you can print at home. Right now, you can print coupons for money off of women’s shorts, beach totes, and bedding items. Combine those coupons with items you find on the clearance rack, and you’ll have yourself an incredible deal! Oh, and you can print each coupon on Target’s website twice…just print one, then tab back and print another. Easy!

Target is a great place to find inexpensive accessories for you home, and even a free shirt every now and then. Here’s a couple of the deals I found this week…

Happy shopping!

    I’ll be honest, I can’t step into a target and not step out with some awesome stuff for my house.

    Working in retail helps me understand a few things about marketing. Target is actually designed to get the average woman to spend $70/per visit. Guess who spends that much every visit? :)

    That doesn’t mean I’m not happy with every purchase I make there. :)
    I’m trying to light up my deck. I’ve got one outlet. Target has awesome, albeit a bit expensive, string lighting for outdoor use. I haven’t sprung for them yet.

    Do you have any suggestions for creative, budget friendly outdoor lighting?

      Hi Sunira!

      I agree that for every coupon you can use at Target, they expect you to spend triple on things you find along the way. It’s all about self-control, which is hard for so many of us :) . As far as outdoor lighting suggestions go, I love the look of these lights http://tinyurl.com/3je6yyl . They’re simple, look great with any outdoor space, and it’s relatively inexpensive to make such a huge difference in your backyard. I’d start with two strands and criss-cross them over your patio or deck. That way, you can add more if you need to, but two strands might be enough. I’m all about saving some money! Since they’re pretty neutral, you can really focus on finding a few “cheap and cheerful” accents to give your backyard the look you’re going for. You’ll have to send me a picture if you decide to spruce up your space!
