A Fabric For Every Occasion.
A couple months ago my mother-in-law sent me an email about a discount fabric store she had heard about in Covington and thought I might want to check out. My friend Meghan (yes, same one from yesterday) is from Covington so I emailed her to see if she’d heard of Ocho Fabrics before. She had, and last week her and her sweet mom took me to browse fabrics to my heart’s content!
Y’all, I could look at fabrics for hours. (And I did.) Here’s the back of the warehouse that had row after row of seriously discounted fabrics. In fact, some I had just seen at another fabric store for much, much more a couple weeks before.

Look at all the possibilities!

I loved this fabric SO much. If I needed curtains, it would have come home with me that day!

These fun patterns would make great pillows!

During our searching, we found some gold and navy fabric that reminded us of a certain Atlanta school. Meghan didn’t like it. At all.
(Go Dawgs.)

And oh the nursery fabrics! When you go to a fabric store with a pregnant lady, you’re bound to look at nursery fabrics. They had such a cute selection!

I almost bought these two fabrics below to frame them (separately). The first fabric would look fabulous with a large silver frame and black mat. The bird fabric would make a cute smaller picture in a natural wood frame with a burlap mat.

There you have it…a fabric for every occasion. I’m telling you, this place was worth the drive! Do y’all have any great fabric stores you want to share?
P.S. Fabric hunting is always better when you have fun people to go with. Thanks again Meghan and Mrs. Patton!

LOL I didn’t know that photo would go online…just to Justin’s phone! haha In all fairness, I actually love gold and navy together. And kinda hate that it’s GT’s colors. I suppose Tom and me calling a truce during football season (except the week of THE GAME) means I can wear it now..? Still….Go dawgs!
Haha! I only posted it because 1) it’s funny and 2) you still managed to look cute despite the disgusted face
. Oh and the picture of the two of us was ridiculously blurry. I support Tech, but not in fabric. It’s just not my thing, haha!
Being a GT purist, I would like to point out that Georgia Tech’s colors are old gold and white. Navy is a tertiary color though, but not a primary color. BAM! Georgia Tech trivia has just been dropped. Now you may do with it as you see fit.
Like.
Hey lady!
I love fabric shopping. Fabric and Fringe is where I spend the majority of my time!! I actually do want to make some cheap curtains for the guest bath/baby bath! I need to coordinate with a shower curtain first, but my theme is yellow and brown! Any good finds where you were? Or any good ideas on how to do it? I want it to be a fun kid-focused bathroom- but not so baby-ish that guests feel like they are infants when they use the bathroom at our house
Aly, I didn’t see any yellow/brown when I went but I’m sure they had some somewhere. As for making it not look too babyish, I’d try to do a neutral window treatment and bring in the cuteness with the shower curtain and towels. You’ll still see it as a kid’s bathroom without it feeling like it’s too much. I know whatever you come up with will look great! I’ll have to check out Fabric and Fringe
